Nisa, the Arabic word for women, is a social enterprise that makes the most comfortable underwear around.
Nisa’s undergarments are made lovingly in their Wellington Studio using carefully sourced materials.
Nisa’s makers are women with refugee backgrounds, for most of them their job at Nisa is their first in New Zealand. Nisa helps them to build their self-esteem, learn language and new skills all while providing for their families.
Nisa was founded by amazing young women, Shannon and Elisha. Elisha left her career as a lawyer to start Nisa after experiences assisting refugees at the Community Law Centre, and as a refugee resettlement volunteer for the Red Cross.
When you purchase from Nisa, you sign up to their mailing list to keep updated with their new releases and what they’re doing as a social enterprise.
