Hej Hej: Good Day Barclay in Ivory

Hej Hej is run by an amazing duo who live a fair way away from one another; one lives in Auckland the other Shanghai. The twosome believes in fashion being fun “not intimidating [or] pretentious.” Hej Hej is a collection of immediately recognisable, whimsical designs made in a considered way from premium fabrics that don’t cost the world.

Hej Hej, like all of us, has a love for linen. When asked about fabrics Hej Hej says “We couldn’t find 100% linen that fit our style or budget, so we started making our own. Now we’ve expanded our collection of quality to include cashmere and silk. You’re welcome.”

Accessibility quick facts

Rebecca’s hairclip and pants are also by Hej Hej.

Super stretchy to get on and off and over bust.

A mix of cashmere and silk, with ribbed detailing.

One size fits all garment.

Slightly see-through and follows the contours of your bra, we’d suggest a white bra underneath or go without.

Crew neckline which means it sits above the collar bones or around the neck but does not interfere too close to the neck area so should not cause sensory issues.

The sleeve ends before or at elbow depending on height or your seated position, the sleeve is form fitting to arm yet still stretchy.

Overall extremely accessible and a classic, flattering fit – add this to your wardrobe immediately if this is your vibe.

Also comes in a Hot Pink shade.

This top by Hej Hej is one size fits all and is incredibly accessible.

The mix of cashmere and silk is soft to the touch and incredibly comfortable, wearing the ‘Good Day Barclay’ for the day would be a breeze.

The form fitting arm ends at or before the elbow and so pushing a wheelchair or mobility aid can be done with ease and the length of the sleeves means there is no risk that you will dirty the lovely ivory.

Without zips or closures and with its stretch this top would support the independence of most dressers, while also looking thoughtful and considered, so if you’re looking for something you can put on yourself that is also flattering the Barclay is a sure bet.

The ribbed detailing adds some dimension to the garment, it does not affect its soft texture, but the garment does fit close to the arm and over the bust. Bare this in mind should you usually prefer a freer fit.

Additionally, ‘Good Day Barclay’ can be easily tucked, if you’re a wheelchair user, the top may end either at the waist (when sitting) or at hip, this is height dependent, but either hemline is flattering and should not affect mobility.

Do not Twist, wring or bleach this garment. Re-shape and lay flat to dry.

Cold, gentle handwash with mild detergent.
